Henshaw Advisory derives its name from a village located in the north of England. Henshaw is the gateway for visitors to Hadrian’s Wall, the largest Roman archaeological feature in Britain. This understated little hamlet has played a sustained and significant role in influencing history, while the wall itself is proof of Roman ingenuity. Bringing innovation and originality to today’s business problems, Henshaw is the inspiration for what we do as a company and encapsulates what our business advisory services represent.

Employing a hands-on approach, I provide a considered understanding of a company and its people requirements. With over 20 years' global experience in financial leadership and delivering business improvement in Group CFO, Divisional and Regional CFO and Country Finance Director positions, I excel at delivering reliable, strategic advice. I seek to identify development opportunities and enhance business and people performance by appreciating the complexities involved in establishing a dynamic, diverse and sustainable company. 

A qualified UK Chartered Accountant, I am passionate about untangling problems and identifying clear and actionable solutions that make a difference and exceed expectations - whether that’s, for example, through efficiency improvements, conflict resolution or enhancing insight and understanding. 

My experience and capacity to work drives me to create impactful solutions which in turn benefit the business and its people. I strive to streamline and re-energise teams, enabling them to outperform the competitors and leaders in their field, through cultural changes, acquisitions, re-positioning and innovative working processes. 

I have consolidated my knowledge and international experience through working in the UK, Europe, and the US before moving to Singapore in 2008. This relocation further exposed me to the Asia Pacific and Middle East markets. Working across multiple ownership models, process change experiences, countries, cultures, business sizes and industries, I have been confronted with and managed a portfolio of unique strategic challenges in the business world. 

"I worked very closely with Paul on the sale of Classic Fine Foods ("Classic") from EQT to Metro AG by way of a competitive bid. Paul had already had a critical role as CFO in turning a decentralised clutch of Asian and European businesses into a harmonised well-run enterprise. Nonetheless, the auction sale process for this multi-jurisdictional business involved a huge amount of organisational savvy to pull together and execute. Not only did Paul handle all of the advisors: legal, accounting and tax, but he was part of a complex re-investment arrangement for management. Paul's common sense and cool head was a key element of the successful sale which was awarded "Exit Deal of the Year" by the Singapore Venture Capital Association for 2016."
